Icons and Graphic Elements for the ICTP Website
ICTP logo
ICTP_logo_100x100.gif — the ICTP logo ready for the web, as a transparent GIF image (better over a white background), even in a smaller size (ICTP_logo_25x25.gif). You can also download the source file, (high quality, all layers, in Adobe™ Photoshop 7 format), for modification and adaptation to other contexts, as well as a PDF version.
The typeface used for the ICTP achronym in the logo is "Gill Sans" bold, with scaling of 120% vertical and 150% horizontal.
Site Favicon and buttons of the navigation menu (all pages)
favicon.ico — this is the website "favicon", i.e. the icon that represent the site in the bookmarks (favorites) list of some web browsers. It has to be in a special graphical format called .ico (not all browsers are able to visualize it)
defaultcolors.gif — it is used in the customize bar (below the navigation menu), to activate the default color scheme for the page
highcontrast.gif — it is used in the customize bar (below the navigation menu), to activate the high contrast color scheme for the page (for accessibility reasons: this provides an easier view of the page for vision-impaired people)
txt_small.gif — it is used in the customize bar (below the navigation menu), to activate the default text size (small) for the page
txt_medium.gif — it is used in the customize bar (below the navigation menu), to activate a medium text size for the page (for accessibility reasons: this provides an easier view of the page for vision-impaired people)
txt_large.gif — it is used in the customize bar (below the navigation menu), to activate a large text size for the page (for accessibility reasons: this provides an easier view of the page for vision-impaired people)
print.gif — it is used in the path bar (on the top of the main content area), as a shortcut to print the page (using a javascript command)

unesco.gif — it is the logo of UNESCO, used under its permission. It is a GIF image with transparency, modified to be used over a light blue background with hexadecimal color code #457dbe
iaea.gif — it is the logo of IAEA, used under its permission. It is a GIF image with transparency, modified to be used over a light blue background with hexadecimal color code #457dbe- Note that the picture in the central area of the home page is randomly chosen at every reload of the page (Shift+Refresh is required for Internet Explorer), from a set of around 40 photos. A photo gallery listing all of them is also available and it allows downloading of the pictures and sending of e-cards.
