Biography:
At ICTP, Mr. Lucatello has held various functions within the Personnel Office, the Finance Office
and the Guesthouses. In 2002 he was promoted to his present post. Being computer literate,
Mr. Lucatello has established a comprehensive intranet site where staff find all relevant
information regarding procedures and rules in the Personnel sector.
From 1982 to 83, he worked at the Hotel Alla Posta in Trieste.
From 1977 to 1982, he lived in England and had various posts within the public sector
(teaching) and the private sector (administration, maintenance).
Responsibility:
The Personnel Office, besides ensuring adherence to the UNESCO and as appropriate the IAEA Staff
Regulations and Rules, provides information to all staff on personnel matters and procedures. It
keeps an overview of the staffing situation at the Centre, processes and assists in recruitment
procedures.
The Office verifies, records and maintains a variety of staff documentation such as
leave records, appointments, transfers, promotions and separation from service. Furthermore,
it processes the monthly payroll and runs the time and attendance system used at the Centre.
